IVR’s new thinkpiece series stimulates debate

We want to challenge current thinking on volunteering, stimulate debate and debunk myths. These short, accessible thinkpieces allow IVR staff and Research Associates to offer their own perspectives on topical issues in the world of volunteering. Matthew Hill contributes our first, arguing that recent claims of volunteering rates flourishing in the recession are simply not true, while in our second piece Daniel Stevens examines why the government’s Green Paper on Giving perhaps should not have so readily quoted the survey that put the UK in 29th position of global volunteering rates.
