Exciting new projects exploring volunteering in health

We have joined two major new research projects exploring different aspects of volunteering in the health field. We’re working on a project led by the University of Cambridge to examine the contribution of peer volunteers in supporting people with diabetes and will be helping the development of good practice guidance for health services looking to develop this form of volunteering. And we’re also working with Queen Mary University in a four-year research study of how volunteers can support people with psychosis – again we’re helping in the development of guidance and mapping what’s happening at the moment.
