In partnership with the Department of Social Policy at the LSE, the Voluntary Action History Society is holding an afternoon seminar will include papers by Professor Bernard Harris (University of Southampton) and Associate Professor Melanie Oppenheimer (University of New England, Australia).
An evening drinks reception (17.00-19.00) will feature the book launch and short talks by Emeritus Professor Nicholas Deakin and Dr Justin Davis Smith, Chief Executive of Volunteering England. An accompanying exhibition, 'Sixty Years of Volunteering History', curated by Georgina Brewis and Anjelica Finnegan from IVR, will display original materials from the new Volunteering England Collection at the LSE archives.
