Offering a critical perspective on student volunteering Thursday 17 March 2011, London

Last year, we launched a seminar series in partnership with the ESRC and Birkbeck, University of London, the first of which, ‘Youth volunteering and democratic engagement’, looked at the role of volunteering by young people in relation to active citizenship. This was followed by a look at ’International volunteering and global citizenship’. Our final seminar in the series of three will focus on student volunteering. 'Win, win, win? A critical perspective on student volunteering' will see presentations from Professor Clare Holdsworth of Keele University, Adam O’Boyle of Student Hubs, and Michael Phillips from Barnardos. Places are free, but advance booking is essential as places are limited.
